Rules of Life & Business 22/50:
Smile everyday no matter what comes your way,
You don’t own all the problems of this world.
Remember that every problem has a solution,
You just have to find the right actions for you.
Do you allow things, situations or people take your smile away?
It’s surely not because you like the feeling!
So why do you allow yourself to feel this way?
Most of us feel like we have no choice.
Well here’s the good news:
IT’S ALL UP TO YOU!!!!
IT’S ALL IN YOUR HANDS!!!
So why as humans do we do this?
Well we all have things, situations or people that get in our way…
Could be you just woke up on the wrong side of the bed…
Could be that you just lost a loved one…
Could be you or someone is very sick…
Could be your bus was late…
Could be your car didn’t start…
Could be ALMOST ANYTHING!!!
It’s definitely not an easy task to put a smile on your face if things, situations or people get in the way…
Here’s the thing though:
If you CHOOSE to smile no matter what’s in your way, wonderful things will start to happen both internally and externally.
You’ll feel less stress, less worry, and less or no negativity.
You’ll feel more strength, more power and more positive.
To ensure you smile there are things that can help:
1- be around people who love to laugh
2- watch comedies (stand up or movies)
3- go to comedies (stand up or movies)
4- keep funny pictures with you
5- go on YouTube and just write: FUNNY VIDEOS (trust me there are tons!!)
6- listen or share funny or silly jokes.
7- smile for nothing, justthe simplicity and being able to smile.
Your moods will change automatically.
Your stomach won’t feel as upset as it is.
It transforms and rejuvenates your emotions.
You feel more positive.
You feel less down.
You feel ready to get things done.
Even if you don’t know what to smile about.
Think of something that makes you smile.
Close your eyes if you have to.
2- FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT!
Even if you really don’t feel like smiling, smile anyways.
Even if it’s not a meaningful smile, your brain will trigger and positive emotion.
Just try it!!
If you never try it, you’ll never know!!
I remember many years ago when I was in my first full time job working for a corporation we were invited to a conference with so many celebrities including Loretta Laroche, Lance Armstrong and many other motivational speakers.
Loretta had us laugh historically for an hour lol.
It was the BEST feeling ever! My friends and I were talking before doing the exercise and found it so stupid.
But… as we were told… just try it… nothing bad will happen.
WE HAD NOTHING TO LOSE!
So we started laughing for no reason at all.
Not only did it make us feel incredible….. my abs were getting a natural workout lol.
It felt so good that everyday since then I laugh and smile even if I have no reasons at all.
3- SMILING AND LAUGHING REDUCES STRESS!
Yes… smiling and laughing does reduce stress.
There are many tests done all over the world in the last decade testing stress reduction with smiling and laughing.
It seems that the ones that had the biggest smiles were the ones that had a huge reduction in their heart rate and quicker stress recovery.
4- SMILING IS CONTAGIOUS!
Yes it is.
I’ve tried it so many times.
Can be with kids, teens, adults or the elderly.
Walking in a room where no one is smiling, making them smile one way or another, then leaving the room with people who have smiles, laughter and sharing together.
You should try it one day.
Just make people smile.
Drive while smiling.
Eat while smiling.
Talk while smiling.
You’ll see how people’s mood around youvwill change.
Your facial expression smiling gives a positive energy out to yourself and to others around you.
Smile everyday no matter what.
Smiling is contagious!
5- SMILING IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL!
Your smile is your smile.
It’s unique to only you.
A smile can make someone’s day
A smile make your day too!
A smile makes you Feel Good!
A smile makes you feel positive.
A smile makes your negative emotions dissapear.
IF YOU ARE THE ONE THAT DECIDES HOW YOU WILL FEEL TODAY, THEN WHY NOT SMILE AND BE HAPPY NO MATTER WHAT COMES YOUR WAY?
A SMILE IS GOOD FOR YOUR SOUL!
6- SMILING IS GOOD FOR THE HEART!
There are studies saying that the act of smoking has a positive effect on our happiness and physical health.
As well as smiling helps the heart recover more quickly after stressful events.
Why not have a good heart!
By practicing smiling and laughing everyday, you can bring healing to your body.
Smiling can even make you look more attractive, younger, and improve your stress level.
Are you smiling now?
It won’t hurt, it will only heal.
7- SMILING IS VERY HEALTHY!
I read many years ago…
“Smiling is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to boost your health, your mood, your longevity, and your success.”
The true smiles are the ones that will make more of an impact on your health.
What you feels outside your body feels inside.
As we said before smiling lowers your heart rate and reduces your stress level.
It helps reduce pain.
It boosts your immune system. It lets the immune system react quicker and more effective against body invaders.
It will keep you living longer… so why not enjoy it now too!
8- SMILING MAKES A BETTER IMPRESSION!
It actually does work.
This was many years ago when I first learned how smiling and laughing was an incredible FREE TOOL.
It was awesome.
I went to a network group that had a grea energy.
I just smiled and kept a good posture.
People were attracted to coming to talk with me, they wanted to have a conversation, they started smiling even if they weren’t before.
You are more inviting to talk with when your smiling.
Your more approachable to talk with when you are smiling.
9- SMILING MAKES YOU MORE ATTRACTIVE!
Again forvthis to happen you need to have a genuine smile.
I do believe that genuine smiles do influence the ratings of your attractiveness more positively because it’s so much more pleasing than a negative look.
Think about it, when you see someone cry, yourcsad for them.
When you see someone laughing and smiling you want to too.
Go out for a walk, put your head set on and listen to your favorite music or podcast and take a walk smiling. Look at people, smile, say hi, have a good day. See what happens.
In some cities people take it very well.
Others people are cold.
Here’s what I say… start the chain of smiling at people… see how attractive you will be.
Also like we said before it’s contagious so you’ll help others change their day to the better!
10– SMILE WITH YOUR EYES TOO… NOT ONLY WITH YOUR MOUTH…
When you smile from your mouth… people ONLY see it.
When you smile from your EYES… people see it, people feel it, and of course YOU FEEL IT MORE!!!
So next time you have someone trying to ruin your day… or your stuck in traffic… or your child just spilled their whole dinner on the floor… SMILE… SMILE…SMILE!
When you practice smiling no matter what… you’ll see how amazing you make yourself feel!
